Dr Laura Bidstrup grew up in rural Victoria before completing her medical studies in Melbourne. After spending the early years of her career in Albury-Wodonga area, she settled in Port Macquarie to be closer to her family and the beach.
Laura is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves. She is committed to providing inclusive, affirming health care for people from all walks of life. She believes that everyone deserves respectful, non-judgemental access to quality health care, and she aims to ensure all her patients feel seen, heard, understood and valued.
Outside of medicine, Dr Laura enjoys relaxing with her dog and cat on the couch, writing stories, and making clay figurines.
